Hard Rock lays out its Big E casino plan

WEST SPRINGFIELD, MA (WSHM) -

West Springfield residents got a chance to see Hard Rock's plan for a casino in their town up close Wednesday night.

The company led a tour of the plot of land it hopes to build a casino on.

The land is on the Eastern States Exposition fairgrounds.

Colored tape and signs marked where the proposed $800 million and $200,000 resort casino would go.

The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will decide where the only Western Massachusetts Casino will be.

West Springfield residents will eventually vote on whether they want Hard Rock's plan in their town.

Hard Rock reps say they expect that vote to happen in September.
