WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Restaurant owners and food truck operators have made peace. Through compromise, the two parties have agreed to terms to be implemented into a food truck amendment.

Both restaurateurs and food truckers attended a planning commission work session to review points of interest. The session was designed to allow everyone with a vesting interest to have a say in the amendment.

Among the topics were distance trucks must be parked from existing restaurants, area clean-up, and hours of operation.

The amendment is currently schedule for a public hearing before the planning commission on July 10 at 6:00 p.m.
