WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Keynan Pittman is headed to Brunswick Community College. The former Pender Patriot has enrolled in classes for the 2013-14 fall semester and plans to play basketball for the Dolphins this coming season.
For Pittman this will be his third school in as many years. He originally committed and signed to play at James Madison after graduating from Pender in 2011. Pittman redshirted his first season with the Dukes before transferring to East Mississippi Community College. With the Lions, Pittman played in 20 games averaging 2.0 points-per-game.
The 6-10 forward expects to play just one season at Brunswick Community College, and will have two years of eligibility remaining after his season with the Dolphins.
As a senior at Pender, Pittman averaged 13 points and 8 rebounds per game. He helped lead the Patriots to an appearance in the Class 2A State Championship game.
