2 people in jail, 1 on the run after car stolen in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Police in Wilmington are looking for one person who allegedly stole a vehicle and then jumped out of the car and ran from police according to 911 dispatchers.

New Hanover County dispatch said three people stole the from the 2300 block of Adams Street in Wilmington early Tuesday morning. Police then caught up with the subjects on 16th Street. That's where dispatch said all three jumped out of the vehicle and ran from officers.

Police were able to arrest two of the subjects and they're currently being processed at the New Hanover County jail. Police are still searching for the one subject. They are using K9 units and the SABLE helicopter has been dispatched to the area.
