The pesky trough locked over the nearby Atlantic shelf waters will slowly work its way back to the north over the next couple of days. This means the potential for showers and thunderstorms will be gradually increasing, particularly for the beaches and coastal communities in southeastern North Carolina as we go into Saturday
Hoping to get some outdoor activities in this weekend? It won't be a washout, but checking the First Alert Weather Forecast App before you finalize your plans as stray showers can sneak ashore -particularly on Saturday – would be a good idea.
Sunday the rain chances drop some, but they don't completely leave the forecast. Look for highs to start to move back from the mid to the upper 80s during the afternoon with more seasonable temperatures expected for the week ahead.
