Police arrested a suspect who reportedly jumped out of this Corvette and ran after a traffic stop. Police arrested a suspect who reportedly jumped out of this Corvette and ran after a traffic stop.

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Police in Wilmington have arrested a man who reportedly got out of his car and ran from officers during a traffic stop Thursday night.

After a short chase on foot, officers caught him.

Sgt. Standbury with the Wilmington Police Department told our news crew on the scene that the driver may have been impaired. 

The man was charged with careless and reckless driving and other misdemeanor charges.

According to dispatch, this happened in the area of Seventh and Market Streets.
