NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Filming will cause traffic delays in the northern part of New Hanover County for the next two days.

Production crews with Tammy will be in Castle Hayne throughout the rest of the week.

They're expected to close off parts of Blue Clay Road between Old Mill Road and Holly Road Friday 7:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

According to the movie's publicist, the production will be finished filming in Wilmington on Friday.

Crews will head to Niagara Falls for a day of filming later this month, before the production completely wraps.

In the movie, Melissa McCarthy plays the lead character, who totals her car, gets fired from her job and finds out her husband is cheating on her, all on the same day.

She then hits the road with her grandmother, who is played by Susan Sarandon.

Dan Aykroyd, Allison Janney and Kathy Bates also appear in the movie.

The film will be released next summer.
