Beach and water yoga classes to be offered in Surf City

Once again, a full slate of special outdoor yoga classes will greet residents and visitors to Surf City's beach strand this summer.
Sunrise Yoga is continuing every Wednesday morning, with 5:30 am starting times in June, 5:45 in July and 6:15 am in August. Teachers will rotate and participants are asked to bring sheets or large towels instead of mats. The cost is $10 and the class meets at the Roland Avenue Beach Access in Surf City.
The first Full Moon Yoga will take place just before sundown on Sunday, June 23 at 7:30 pm with Fallon Normyle. Amanda Brennan will teach July 22 at 7:30 pm and Susan Waterstone on August 27 at 7 pm. The group will meet at Roland Avenue Beach Access unless otherwise specified. The cost is also $10.
Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga or SUP is being taught by Jeaneal Guy on Saturdays, beginning June 29 at 11 am. Other classes will be July 20 at 9 am and August 17, also at 9 am. The location is at On Shore Sports in Fishing Village on the Causeway. The cost is $35 or just $20 if you bring your own paddleboard
Finally, the first Kayak Yoga will be taught by Steve Unger on Sunday, July 7 at 9 am – also going out from On Shore Sports; the cost is $40 or $20 if you bring your own kayak.
Non-members of Surf City Community Center also pay a $5 guest fee for these programs. Membership information may be obtained and reservations made by calling 328-4887 or e-mailing email@example.com. Classes will only take place if a minimum sign up in advance and of course are scheduled weather permitting.
