CFPUA issues scheduled boil water advisory for Saturday

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – A precautionary boil water advisory has been schedule for Saturday for portions of Randall Parkway near South College Road, according to CFPUA.

The City of Wilmington is expected to conduct work starting at 9:00 a.m. to re-route water service for Pinewood Apartments and install a storm drain.

Water service for customers at the following addresses will likely be affected:

  • Pinewood Apartments
  • 4852 Randall Parkway;
  • 4900 and 5000 blocks of Randall Parkway, including all of the Pinewood Apartment complex accessed by Dove, Drake, Grouse, Pheasant and Thrasher Courts; and
  • 502 S. College Road

CFPUA advises that, when water service is restored, the residents at the above addresses boil their water for at least one (1) full minute prior to human consumption until otherwise notified by CFPUA. Human consumption includes cooking, making ice, drink mixing, food preparation and hand washing.

Affected customers do NOT need to boil water prior to using it for bathing.
