The NHC Sheriff's Office asks for help to find missing teen

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - The New Hanover County Sheriff's office is asking for help locating a teen who was last seen June 9, 2013 at his grandmother's house on Milford Road.

According to authorities, Ian Vanderhaar is 15 years old and was last seen wearing a red shirt, plaid shorts and white sneakers. He was also carrying a backpack.

Officials say Ian is about 6 feet tall and weighs approximately 145 pounds.

Detectives with the sheriff's office have exhausted all leads and believe the teen may be heading to Florida.
