I hear plenty of complaints about congested streets and difficulties getting around town, be it by car, walking or riding a bicycle. There is a local group working hard at addressing our transportation issues and they'd like your help.
The Wilmington Metropolitan Planning Organization is trying to identify our future transportation needs and priorities. Those folks will take that information and make recommendations on the projects necessary to address existing and future regional transportation needs.
Its Citizen Advisory Council is conducting a 16 question survey about transportation issues in the Wilmington area. This isn't just limited to roads and vehicles. It includes gathering data on different modes of transportation, including mass transportation and aviation.
So instead of complaining to me or your friends about being stuck in traffic, go to our website, wect.com, and look for this logo on our homepage and complete the survey.
The time you invest in helping plan our future transportation improvements may come back to you ten-fold someday when you are moving about the city at a much nicer pace.
That's my turn. Now it's your turn. To comment on this segment, or anything else, email me at email@example.com.
