Nutty Parmesan Grouper Sticks

  • 2lb grouper fillet
  • 1 cup crushed rich round crackers
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup ground nut (pine nut or almonds)
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 teaspoons melted butter


First preheat oven to 425. Next take the grouper fillet and pat dry with a paper towel. Then cut the fillets up into1 inch wide strips set aside.
Grease a shallow baking pan. In a med. size bowl mix together crackers, cheese, nuts, basil, and the black pepper.
Next you need to put the flour in one bowl, and the 2 cups of milk in another bowl.
At last, start by taking the grouper strips dipping into the flour, then the milk, and next into the cracker mixture. Use your hands to form a good coating on the strips.
Place the grouper into the baking dish, and drizzle lightly with the melted butter. Bake for 20 to 25 min. or until golden brown.
Serve with some good tarter sauce.
