Breast cancer survivors inspire 'fluid recovery' program
WILMINGTON,NC (WECT)- There's something about the soothing lightness and cool you feel when dipping into a swimming pool. Some might even say water is the most natural medicine when it comes to healing the body.
'Fluid Recovery,' is the way the YWCA is helping breast cancer survivors get back on track toward a fitter lifestyle.
It's a 12- week water aerobics program that is absolutely free to anyone looking for help in getting back their physical strength after fighting and beating cancer.
The class sessions/ dates/ information are as follows:
There are three 4- week session dates: June 5- June 28, July 10- August 2, August 7- August 30.
Classes will be at the YWCA pool at YWCA Lower Cape Fear, 2815 S. College Rd., Wilmington.
Pre-registration and orientation sessions are required and will be held Tuesday, June 25 at 6:30 p.m. and Wednesday, June 26 at 9 a.m. to start the classes beginning on July 10.
