The latest in a line of lawsuits connected to the explosion at JJ's restaurant comes from the family of the hostess who died in the fire.
Megan Cramer's parents filed a wrongful death suit against several companies, including Southern Union, Missouri Gas Energy, Time Warner Cable USIC Locating Services, Heartland Midwest and Heartland employee Michael Palier.
Palier was the supervisor for MGE who responded to the scene.
MGE spokeswoman Vicki Anderson Granado says MGE doesn't comment on pending litigation. Time Warner Cable spokesman Mike Pedelty also declined comment, and messages left with the other companies weren't immediately returned Sunday.
Cramer, a server at the restaurant, died Feb. 19 after the subcontractors digging for cable lines struck a gas line, setting off a mass explosion.
