NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Officials with the New Hanover County School System are investigating a teacher who was arrested last week.

Catherine Entrocaso, of Fayetteville, was arrested last Thursday on Highway 421 for possession of schedule II narcotics.

According to court documents, Entrocaso was arrested with 13 Adderall pills in non-prescription bottles, without a label.

The Department of Public Safety says she was stopped for a traffic violation and ALE in Fayetteville made the arrest.

Entrocaso is an English teacher at New Hanover High School. According to a spokesperson for the school system, Entrocaso has been suspended with pay pending the outcome of the investigation.

She is expected in court again in June.
