Police are investigating after a body was found on the city's east side.
Crews were called to a field at East 93rd and Anderson in Cleveland around 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday. The body of a woman was found by a worker mowing grass at the rear of the field by the trees.
The Homicide Unit responded to the scene along with The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office.
The victim has yet to be identified pending family notification.
No word on a cause of death at this time, but investigators believe the body was there for a while because it showed signs of decomposition.
Because the victim was found in the area where three women were violent attacked this spring, Black on Black community activist group is having an emergency meeting tonight at 6 p.m. at 13512 Kinsman.
