Dry, mostly sunny and slightly cooler than normal conditions will continue throughout this Memorial Day here in Southeastern North Carolina.
Heading to the beach? No need for the umbrella as rain chances will be slim to none along the coast. Highs on the area sand strands should push into the upper 70s as the persistent sea breeze keeps coastal conditions slightly cooler than their inland neighbors.
High temperatures should push up to around 80F in downtown Wilmington, 82F for the Columbus County Courthouse in Whiteville and 83F at White Lake.
Warmer conditions will be moving in as we move toward the middle of the week. Look for daytime high temperatures in the upper 80s as we advance to the weekend with the afternoon shower chance every day.
