CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WECT) – A man suspected of several felonious crimes in Carolina Beach was already wanted by deputies in Sampson County when a massive assault put four people in the hospital last month.
Adonis Lee Toomer was placed on probation for drug charges in April 2012, according to records with the State Department of Public Safety.
He's wanted for felony probation violation, carrying a concealed weapon and driving while license revoked, according to the Sampson County Clerk of Courts Office. Warrants for his arrested were filed April 2 and 3 this year.
Toomer was identified as a member of a group from the Clinton area visiting Carolina Beach the night of April 27. Detectives said he provided a fake name when questioned.
No arrests were made that night, but two men have been charged since then with assault.
Detectives have filed arrest warrants for Toomer, citing four charges of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.
If anyone has information about Toomer, you're asked to contact local law enforcement.
