BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Crews spent some time Tuesday night working to put out a house fire in Brunswick County.
According to officials, the fire happened at a home in the 2000 block of Butler Circle, off Longwood Road, near Ash.
The home belongs to Jeff Milligan, who happens to be a firefighter.
Our crew on the scene was told Milligan's son was in the shower and heard the dogs barking. When he looked out the window, the porch was engulfed in flames.
A dog was lost in the fire but there are no reports of any other injuries.
The house is a total loss.
