After 10 consecutive quarterly increases, tribal contributions from gaming revenue dipped one percent in the quarter that ended March 31 compared to the same period last year.
Arizona Department of Gaming said that tribal contributions will be about $24.1 million for the last quarter.
"Gaming, like many other industries, is not immune to economic uncertainty as it relies on the discretionary income of Arizona residents and visitors," said Mark Brnovich, director of the Arizona Department of Gaming.
Brnovich said a decline over one quarter doesn't necessarily establish a new trend.
"I suspect people are being modest with their spending," he said.
Tribes send contributions to the Arizona Benefits Fund every three months.
