Coastal Classic Golf Tournament tees it up for good cause

Posted: Updated:

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – It was a windy day around Wilmington, but that didn't stop a number of golfers from teeing it up for a good cause.

The Coastal Classic Celebrity Golf Tournament returned to Landfall. The two-day golf tournament has become a tradition in the community.

This years tournament's goal is to help build a new SECU Family House at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. The Family House would provide a home away from home for patients and families who travel to the hospital for care.

Over the past 21 years, the tournament has raised over $2.4 million for New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

The first place team in this year's tournament consisted of Greg Thompson, Richard Gabski, Brian Parke, Sr. and Brian Parke, Jr.
