Ben Eblen has committed to UNCW and will be available for the 2013 season.

Chris Dixon welcomed Eblen on Twitter tweeting, "Like to welcome my bro @Ben_E10 to the UNCW Seahawk family"

Eblen, who was a backup guard at Alabama, left the team prior to the 2012-13 season to concentrate on academics.

Eblen graduated in December with a degree in consumer affairs and has one year of eligibility remaining. Because he sat out the season he is eligible to play in 2013-14.

As a point guard out of Isle of Palms, S.C. Eblen was recruited by Anthony Grant when he was at VCU and was the only player he signed in 2009 upon taking the Alabama job.

Eblen earned two starts during his time at Alabama and averaged .5 points per game, 8.1 minutes per game and .7 assists per game.

With the addition of Eblen UNCW has all of its scholarships for 2013-14 filled.
