Detectives make "significant drug arrests"

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Detectives with the Vice-Narcotics Unit of the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office teamed up with the SBI and Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms agency to make significant drug arrests.

According to the sheriff's office, three people were arrested and 330 grams of cocaine was seized as a result of the collaborative investigation.

Kemine Taylor, 23 of Shallotte, was charged with:

  • a dozen counts of trafficking cocaine
  • two counts of sell/deliver cocaine
  • one count of conspire to traffic cocaine

Joshua Orlando Bernard, 24 of Ocean Isle Beach, was charged with:

  • a dozen counts of trafficking cocaine
  • two counts of sell/deliver cocaine
  • one count of conspire to traffic cocaine

Amy Michelle Slusser, 27 of Ocean Isle Beach, was charged with:

  • three counts of misdemeanor child abuse
  • one count of possession of drug paraphernalia
