WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – One man arrested at the scene of a shooting on Greendale Drive in Wilmington is being charged in connection to a shooting Friday night that left several people injured.

According to Lt. Blanton from the Wilmington Police Department, police arrested Myran Rashad Holt and charged with possession of a firearm by a felon on Sunday. He is not a suspect in connection to the shooting that happened on Sunday.  He was standing outside with the victim when the shooting happened.

He was later charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill in connection to the shooting on Clay Street on Friday where one man was shot in the chest. Lt. Blanton said he is a suspect in that shooting. He's currently in the New Hanover County Detention Center being held on a $525,000 secured bond.

Police are still looking the suspects in connection to the shooting on Sunday.

According to the Wilmington Police Department, Jameel Neal, 30, was talking to a man outside one of the homes when three men walked up to them.

The men started to argue and one of the suspects pulled a gun and shot Neal in the upper left chest. Lt. Blanton said Neal was as innocent bystander and was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

The suspects then ran away.

Neal's injuries are not life threatening.
