Combat Mud Run raises money for fallen soldiers

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Most people like to spend their Saturdays relaxing, but one group of athletes in our area did the exact opposite.

The Combat Mud Run at the National Guard Armory in Wilmington, featured racers running, jumping, and crawling through obstacles and mud.

The course included walls, trail running, swamp running, tite climb, mud walks and crawls, fallen trees and more.

Participants who completed the challenge received a Dog Tag Key Chain.

Many athletes also took time to visit a memorial site for fallen soldiers.

All proceeds benefit Step Up for Soldiers.
