HOLLYWOOD, CA (WECT) - Buzz is building for the premiere of Iron Man 3 in Hollywood.

Signs for the film flash on the marquis outside the El Capitan Theatre, where the premiere will be held later Wednesday.

Huge promotional billboards for the film can also be seen on top of buildings along Hollywood Boulevard.

Costumed characters, dressed like Iron Man, are snapping photos with fans of the series.

The movie was filmed in Wilmington last summer, the biggest blockbuster ever shot in the Port City.

Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Pawltrow, Don Cheadle and Ben Kingsley will be on the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere, which is being billed as the 'World Premiere" of the film.

Several stars from other Marvel movies will also be in attendance.

Marvel is streaming Wednesday's red carpet event live. Click this link at 9:00 EST to watch the action from your computer: marvel.com/ironman3live

Ashlea Kosikowski and Ryan Koresko are in Hollywood to cover the event. Stay tuned for reports from Hollywood throughout the day Wednesday and Thursday.
