WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Hazardous materials were found Tuesday night in the 600 block of South 10th Street.
Police responded to shot spotter at 9:30 p.m. Upon arrival, they found multiple acid bombs which had already exploded except for one. There was no damage from the explosion.
Authorities said the bombs were "very weak" and made from soda bottles. Police are still trying to figure out what's inside.
Police called the bomb squad and have rendered them safe.
They also found other bombs on 13th and Queen. Bomb squad currently has those bombs and are currently taking photographs and performing tests.
No one has been arrested. The scene is still under investigation, but an evacuation is over.
