BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Two men have been arrested and charged in connection to a recent break-in.
After a short foot chase, Victor Hinton, 37, of Bragg Boulevard in Fayetteville and Michael Harris, 42, of Powell Street in Fayetteville, were charged with breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, and possession of stolen property, according to Cpt. Rodney Hester with the Bladen County Sheriff's Office.
Around 9:15 a.m. Monday, authorities responded to a call regarding a breaking and entering in process in the 1000 block of Pages Lake Road, St. Pauls, according to Hester.
An investigation showed that the suspects allegedly gained entry into the home through a window they had smashed, and once inside, took a laptop, an iPod and jewelry.
The property stolen has since been recovered, and a Jeep Cherokee driven by the suspects parked closed to the residence was seized as evidence.
Hinton has posted bond and been released, while Harris remains in jail under a $26,000 bond.
