WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Wilmington Hammerheads forward Cody Arnoux will not be available to the team for the season opener on Friday against Antigua.
Arnoux will likely miss the next two weeks because of a hamstring injury suffered during the last week of the preseason.
"He tweaked something which is unfortunate because he'd been playing so well." said head coach David Irving.
Injuries are nothing new to Arnoux who played only six games for the Hammerheads in 2012 because of turf toe and a bone spur in his heel.
The New Hanover product underwent micro-fracture surgery on his left knee in 2010 and had it scoped again in 2011.
