One East Texas high schooler is being hailed as a hero after his quick thinking saved a bus full of children.
Rusk ISD freshman Blayke Holsome took control of a bus after the bus driver had a medical emergency and guided the bus, and the children on it to safety.
Blayke jumped up, ran to the front of the bus, put it in park and then radioed out for help. He then guided the students safely to another bus.
We have exclusive footage from the bus camera of the incident and Blayke's quick response.
No children were hurt in the incident. The bus driver was taken to a Dallas hospital and is in critical condition.
