ELIZABETHTOWN, NC (WECT) – A man was arrested and charged recently after officers stopped his vehicle and discovered a stolen handgun and laptop.
According to Elizabethtown Police Chief Bobby Kinlaw, 31-year-old Brian Keith Sessoms of Clinton, NC was charged with felony possession of stolen firearm and felony possession of stolen property after Elizabethtown Police Officers stopped the vehicle he was in on E. Broad Street for a fictitious tag.
The gun was reported stolen out of Hanover County, VA in 1991, while the Apple computer was reported stolen from Duplin County in September 2012.
Sessoms as released the same day of his arrest after posting a $10,000 bond.
Additionally, the passenger in the car, 22-year-old Amber Gayle Giddeons of Wallace, NC, was cited for carrying a concealed weapon and drug paraphernalia after police found metal knuckles and a marijuana pipe.
Giddeons was cited and released.
