School of Rock
Biology and algebra - truthfully, we at YWIM never got much out of those classes.
We prefer the Dewey Finn method of teaching - 8:15 to 10 a.m., rock history; 10 to 11 a.m., rock appreciation and theory. And then band practice till the end of the day.
YWIM's favorite teacher will soon come to the Broadway stage. Producer Andrew Lloyd Webber said in an interview with CBC Radio that he's obtained the rights to School of Rock.
No word on when the play will go into production.
The movie chronicles the life of Finn who finds a job as a substitute elementary school teacher after being kicked out of his band.
Class time turns to practice time as Finn turns his students into his own homegrown rock band, cranking out the likes of Zepplin and other classics.
We hope Jack Black is on board as his lovable, over-the-top self.
Sambora Sitting Out
Iconic guitarist Richie Sambora is on hiatus from Bon Jovi, sitting out the current leg of the band's current tour due to "personal issues," according to Bon Jovi's website.
"Thank you everyone for your concern. I'm well, but had to stay in LA to take care of a personal matter. Love you all and see you very soon," Sambora tweeted from his account, @TheRealSambora.
Session guitarist Phil X will fill in. He has stepped into Sambora's shoes in the past, filling in during a 2011 tour.
Sambora is the man behind some of the most legendary licks in rock.
No word on when he'll rejoin his bandmates.
We here at YWIM wish him well.
The Roots following Jimmy Fallon to The Tonight Show
In a rather tight-lipped interview with Fuse, Roots drummer and frontman Questlove admitted the band will, in fact, be staying with Fallon throughout the transition.
Fallon currently tapes in New York. The Tonight Show has been based in California since 1972.
"Listen, The Tonight Show is coming to us, we're not going to The Tonight Show. The Tonight Show is coming to New York, it's coming to us, so basically it's going to be the same show," he said.
Questlove went on to say that the band has redefined bands' roles in late-night TV.
"I'd like to think that we've kind of enhanced or redefined the band's role in the late-night TV format ... not just the person to play you on or play you off but, you know, doing a lot."
You can watch the full interview here.
Hangout Festival 2013 mixtape
In its fourth year, the annual Hangout Music Festival is breaking barriers with a lineup including Tom Petty, Kings of Leon and Stevie Wonder.
There has been such hype about this year's event that Noisetrade created a free mixtape of some of this year's performers, including Public Enemy, Delta Rae, Wild Feathers and Shovels and Rope.
The 2013 Hangout Festival takes place May 17 to 19 on the white sandy beaches of Gulf Shores, AL. For ticket information, visit the festival's official website.
Beyonce releases new Pepsi ad
If you're a Beyonce fan, you most likely tuned into this year's Super Bowl just to watch her bring down the house (literally) with her halftime performance. But, she isn't stopping there. Beyonce is now the spotlight of Pepsi's 2013 ad campaign.
In the ad, Beyonce has a dance off with some of her past selves from her most famous music videos - Bootylicious, Crazy in Love and Single Ladies, just to name a few. In the end she defeats them and creates an entirely new dance routine in order to "live in the now."
We're not going to lie, this is one entertaining commercial. Here's to Beyonce improving just about everything.

And finally ...
Ahh, those carefree post-college, 20-something days when you're so full of naïve hope - and cheesecake that doesn't stick to your thighs.
By your 30s, those days have given way to slowing metabolism, friends who spam your Facebook wall with babies (there's an app for that), and romantic candlelit Lean Cuisines for one.
We can't all be 22 like Taylor Swift forever ... for those a decade past that "happy, free, confused and lonely" age, Fuse TV has a (hilarious) song for you.
