The cooler air continues to push in throughout the day today as high temperatures will struggle to even make the 60F degree mark. Thicker morning clouds and a very slight chance at some drizzle, plus northerly winds will keep those conditions some 10-15 degrees below normal for this time of year.
Gulf moisture will advance from the south toward the Carolinas wrapped around a developing low pressure center as we head throughout the day on Thursday. Some model estimates advertise over an inch of precipitation in the area through Friday afternoon. That's when high pressure moves in again setting us up for a dry and mild weekend.
