Showers will continue to fall through the end of our morning commute here in eastern North Carolina. But hey, at least temperatures are warm right? Well about that – the colder air that is forcing theses showers to advance southward will also help to cool us off as we head into the middle of the week. Look for daytime highs today to shoot up into the low to mid 70s, but tomorrow the colder air arrives.
Highs will try to move into the low 60s on Tuesday and Wednesday with modified Arctic Air streaming down the eastern seaboard. Low temperatures will be chilly as well as we bottom out in the upper 30s.
Rain is expected on both Thursday and Friday as moisture is driven northward out of the Gulf of Mexico bringing heightened shower chances to the region.
