WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – As filming on NBC's Revolution winds down, fans, cast and crew members are waiting to hear if the show will be picked up for a second season.

According to a publicist for the show, production wraps at the end of next week.

Unless NBC announces early pickups, we won't know until mid-May if the show will be back in the fall.

Revolution was one of the highest rated shows on the network last fall.

It returned for the second half of the season earlier this week.

Publicists wouldn't say if the show will be back in Wilmington if it returns for a second season.

Most of the crew members are Wilmington-based. Cast members have settled into Wilmington, where they've been shooting since last summer.

In an interview with Billy Burke, who plays Miles on the show, said it's likely the show will continue in Wilmington.

"We love the area," he said. "We love everything about it. It's looking pretty positive toward staying right now."

Giancarlo Esposito, who plays Captain Neville, indicated he would like to stay in the Port City. Watch his interview here.

"All I can say is the cast has expressed interest in being here," he said. "The producers and writers have as well."
