WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – New Hanover Regional Medical Center was recently featured in the March Business North Carolina article on the state's "best hospitals."
According to a press release from NHRMC, the hospital is ranked 8th out of 30 of the state's top hospitals, along with UNC Hospitals, Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and Presbyterian Hospital.
NHRMC was also ranked 8th in patient picks.
"This achievement is a reflection of the hard work of our board of trustees, physicians, nurses and staff, and their dedication to our patients," says Jack Barto, president and chief executive officer at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. "We are honored to be recognized for the high quality care we offer to the residents of this region."
The magazine article noted Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina recognized NHRMC as a "cutting-edge hospital," according to the press release.
"We strive to provide excellent care to all of our patients by continually evaluating our processes, standardizing care to ensure quality, and offering the services our patients value," Barto says.
