A chilly and wet weekend forecast as an unsettled weather pattern continues to unfold.
Friday: Highs today will struggle into the low to mid 50s. This - in spite of the very sunny conditions. Rain chances will hold off Friday, but the rest of the weekend that won't be the case.
Saturday: Several of the major weather forecast models are now in line - pushing two batches of rain through the region. The first rides in, mainly for the southern edge of the area about midday on Saturday. A ¼" of precipitation would not be unusual. Then as the afternoon progresses some more light showers yet some breaks. Highs in the mid to upper 50s.
Sunday: Round two - the more potent batch of showers glide in from the west with similar temperatures to what we saw on Saturday, for Sunday morning. Rainfall rates will be heavier as upper level dynamics and an increasingly moist atmosphere will allow for more significant rainfall through the first half of the day. Some drying later in the afternoon through the evening is expected.
