SOUTHEASTERN, NC (WECT) - The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a freeze warning for much of Southeastern North Carolina and Northeastern South Carolina.
The warning will be in effect from 11 p.m. Thursday until 10 a.m. Friday. Temperatures are expected to fall into the mid and upper 20s by Friday morning.
The NWS says sensitive vegetation may be damaged or killed by unseasonably cold subfreezing temperatures.
