CLEVELAND, OH (WECT) - A lawsuit has been filed against Desmond Bryant roughly a month after the East Bladen graduate was arrested on criminal mischief charges in Miami.
The Miami Herald first reported the lawsuit.
Isaac Baker claims his family was "terrified" and is seeking damages in excess of $15,000 according to The Cleveland Plain Dealer.
"I think I've done enough over the years I've been in the league to exhibit that's really not the kind of person I am. I think in time I'll be able to show you guys and whoever else wants to know that's really not indicative of me. It was an accident. I've moved beyond that and hopefully everybody else will be able to." Bryant said in his introductory news conference.
Just last week Bryant agreed to a deal with the Cleveland Browns which will pay him $34 million over five years. $15 million of that contract is guaranteed money.
Bryant is scheduled to enter a plea April 1.
