Press release from Work on Wilmington (WOW):
WOW, what a difference one can make in a community. It's as simple as spending one Saturday morning in April working with your neighbors and friends on a worthwhile project that will leave a visible and lasting impact. An army of volunteers – laboring together – will be able to do much more than half a day's work.
Work On Wilmington, a project of the Leadership Wilmington Class of 2013, will demonstrate just how much can be accomplished in four hours when community members work together. The 8th annual Work On Wilmington service day will take place April 20, 2013, rain or shine and organizers are asking for just a few hours of your time.
Want to make a difference? Click on the volunteer form at www.workonwilmington.org/volunteer.asp and sign up for Work On Wilmington for 4 hours from 8:00 am – 12:00 noon on Saturday, April 20, 2013; groups of volunteers are also encouraged. No specific skills are required except willingness to work for 4 hours and an interest in improving our community.
If you have any questions or would like more information regarding volunteering for Work on Wilmington 2013 in general, please do not hesitate to contact Haskell Rhett (Director, Leadership Wilmington) at:
