
Fire crews responded to a house fire Monday afternoon around 2:00.NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Fire crews responded to a house fire Monday afternoon around 2:00.
The home is located on Noland Drive in the northern part of New Hanover County.
According to fire officials, a woman living in the home and two dogs were able to get our safely. Two other dogs, however, were killed in the fire.
The woman said she was sleeping when the fire started and woke up to the kitchen on fire.
Firefighters said the flames started in the kitchen and then moved to the attic. It took them 10-15 minutes to knock out the fire.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
