
WILMINGTON (WECT) –Thousands dressed in green lined the streets of downtown Wilmington for the annual St. Patrick's Day parade Saturday afternoon.
Draped in green, a plethora of parade participants included floats, dancers, motorcycles and cars.
The parade began on North Front Street and Red Cross at about 11am, traveling south to Dock Street and circling north to Water Street.
A St. Patrick's Day festival will follow the parade at the Riverfront Park until 6pm. The festival will include live music, traditional Irish dancers, crafts, food and drinks.
