Former Albany, SCA coach Reginald Mitchell named Head Coach at Americus-Sumter

AMERICUS, GA (WALB) -

The Americus-Sumter Panthers have a new head football coach.

Former Albany High and Sherwood Christian head man Reginald Mitchell will take the same position at ASHS.

Mitchell was the head coach at Albany from 2006-2008 before taking over at SCA for the 2009 and 2010 seasons.

For the last two years, Mitchell served as Defensive Coordinator at Tift Co.

    University of North Carolina juniors Joel Berry II and Theo Pinson and freshman Tony Bradley have filed paperwork with the NBA to enter the 2017 Draft process. None of the three have hired professional representation which allows them the opportunity to go through the evaluation process and either stay in the Draft or return for another season of college basketball.
