Several suspects face drug charges in Brunswick County - WECT TV6-WECT.com:News, weather & sports Wilmington, NC

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) - The Brunswick County Sheriff's Vice Narcotics Task Force made several arrests this week.

The suspects named below were charged as follows on the days listed:

Monday, March 11

Rakim Omar Lee, 19, of Wilmington, was charged with possession with the intent to manufacture, sell and distribute heroin (50 bindles of heroin), sell/ deliver heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia (wax paper and rubber bands). Lee was released Tuesday March 12 on a $20,000 bond.

Terry Lazel Sapp, 39, of Shallotte, was charged with possession with the intent to manufacture, sell and distribute heroin (98 bindles of heroin) and possession of drug paraphernalia (wax paper bindles). Sapp was released the same day on a $10,000 bond.

Isaac Ray Simpson, 73, of Wilmington, was charged with possession with the intent to manufacture, sell and distribute heroin (50 bindles of heroin), sell/ deliver heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia (wax paper bindles). Simpson was released the same day on a $20,000 unsecured bond.

Tuesday, March 12

Kerry Laine Burney, 24, of Ocean Isle Beach, was charged with possession with the intent to manufacture, sell and distribute schedule IV controlled substance (95 pills of Alprazolan), sell/deliver schedule IV controlled substance (Alprazolan), conspiracy sell/deliver schedule IV controlled substance (Alprazolan) and possession of drug paraphernalia (cellophane bag and a pill bottle). Burney is currently being detained in the Brunswick County Detention Facility under a $10,000 secured bond.

Donald Lee Sellers Jr., 30, of Ocean Isle Beach, was charged with possession of heroin, possession with the intent to manufacture, sell and distribute schedule IV controlled substance (Alprazolan), sell/ deliver schedule IV controlled substance (Alprazolan) and possession of drug paraphernalia (wax paper brindle and cellophane pack). Sellers is currently being detained in the Brunswick County Detention Facility under a $11,000 secured bond.

Corey Alexander Morgan, 25, of Supply, was charged with possession of heroin (six bags), possession of marijuana (1 gram), possession of drug paraphernalia and additional drug related charges. Morgan is currently being detained in the Brunswick County Detention Facility under a $11,000 secured bond.

James Craig Hoenie, 40, of Hampstead, was charged with possession with the intent to manufacture, sell and distribute schedule IV controlled substance (heroin) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Hoenie was released the same day on a $5,000 bond.

Wednesday, March 13

Anthony Glen Rose, 25, of Bolivia, was charged with possession with the intent to sell and distribute marijuana (115 grams of marijuana), trafficking opium or heroin (more than 4 grams of opiates), simple possession of schedule IV controlled substance (M) (Alprazolan) and possession of drug paraphernalia (plastic bag and pill bottle). Rose is currently being detained in the Brunswick County Detention Facility under a $100,000 secured bond.

Kristopher Briant Gell, 33, of Wilmington, was charged with possession of heroin. Gell was released the same day on a $5,000 bond.
