
Michael Supak (Source: New Hanover County Jail)WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - A football coach from Hoggard High School who was arrested in November 2012 and charged for forcing a kiss onto a female student on school grounds resigned March 12, a New Hanover County Schools spokesperson confirmed Thursday.
Michael Supak, 37, was suspended with pay the same day of his arrest, and in December 2012, it was announced that Supak's case would go before a grand jury.
According to the sheriff's office, Supak was charged from an incident that took place on school campus. The incident report says the coach forcibly kissed the victim October 14, 2012 around 6 p.m. at Hoggard.
No injuries were reported.
Supak joined the Hoggard staff in 2006, according to the school's website.
He was the head coach for the junior varsity football team and the head girls' track coach. Supak was also an honors world history teacher.
