According to ProFootballTalk East Bladen alum Desmond Bryant has agreed to terms with the Cleveland Browns.
ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting the deal is for five years at 34-million dollars, 15-million is guaranteed money.
The defensive tackle was on the Browns' radar very early in the process. The Browns ranked 11th in the NFL in sacks during the 2012 season. The addition of Bryant could help defensive coordinator Ray Horton's 3-4 scheme.
Bryant put up four sacks in 2012, with 11 quarterback hits and 20 hurries -- his 35 total pressures ranked him fourth among all qualifying defensive tackles.
At only 27-years old Bryant is billed as a player whose best days could still be ahead of him.
Bryant was originally signed by the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of Harvard.
