Wilmington's Derek Brunson is getting back in the octagon.
Brunson (10-2 MMA, 1-0 UFC) is scheduled to face Ronny Markes (14-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC) June 8 in Brazil.
The bout will be the first for Brunson since making his UFC debut with a unanimous decision win over Chris Lebon at UFC 155. The win snapped a two-fight losing skid.
Markes is a native of Brazil and has won all of his fights by decision.
The fight in Brazil will be part of the UFC on Fuel TV 10 card, but it is still unclear if the bout will be part of the main or preliminary card.
Brunson plans to remain in Wilmington until May when he will head to Albuquerque for training camp.
