WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Showers and moderate rainfall will plague the first half of the day today as a slow moving front creeps through eastern North Carolina. The nice news: temperatures will be mild, with temperatures remaining in the 60s and low 70s throughout the day. Look for rainfall totals to vary between a quarter of an inch (.25") to an inch (1.00") for some locations.
The forecast then becomes temperature centered as we roll into Wednesday and Thursday. Highs will struggle to reach 60 on Wednesday, and run near record lows for Thursday afternoon after starting near freezing.
Sunny and warmer conditions are expected this weekend.
