NHCSO Detective Division takes over missing man investigation

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – The New Hanover County Sheriff's Office has discontinued the search for 40-year-old David Bryant Cottle Jr.

According to the sheriff's office, an extensive search of the area was completed and the investigation has been turned over to the NHCSO Detective Division.

He's around 5 ft. 10 inches tall with red hair, blue eyes, and about 180 lbs. He was last seen wearing white Nike shoes, blue jeans, tan toboggan, and a white tee shirt. Cottle also wears glasses and has a tribal tattoo on his right bicep. 

Authorities say he was last seen on Saturday in the area around 1604 Cotswald Court.
