WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – The Cape Fear Memorial Bridge will have intermittent overnight closures this weekend while film crews work in the area.
Weather permitting, the bridge will close for no more than five minutes at a time Saturday, March 16 and Sunday, March 17 from 7 p.m. until 5:30 a.m., according to a press release from the NCDOT.
The DOT said the parking lot of the boat ramp near the bridge will be filled with tents to give it the appearance of a military station for the feature film The Remaining.
Casey La Scala is directing the PG-13 movie.
Drivers should plan for extra time crossing the bridge during those nights and use caution in the area.
